On August 20, 2008 Rosneft established two wholly owned specialized subsidiaries — RN-Uchet and RN-Stroy.

RN-Uchet will run accounting within Rosneft group of companies while RN-Stroy will manage the construction subsidiaries of Rosneft. Both companies were established with the goal to better optimize Rosneft’s organization structure and business processes.

In 2006–2007 Rosneft established similar subsidiaries RN-Burenie, RN-Service and RN-Energo that currently manage drilling, service and power generation and distribution activities.
