5 November 2007, MSCI Barra, a leading provider of benchmark indices and risk management analytics products, announced the changes to the MSCI Global Standard Indices (including MSCI EM index) that will become effective as of 30 November 2007.

Among other companies from EM EMEA, there were two Russian listed companies, which were decided to be included into the index.

PIK Group was one with underlying weight of 0.34% (equivalent roughly to 3.5-4% of MSCI Russia)
