According to the statement of the Company’s management, it is the compulsory measure, which lets save 20% of costs for power commercial account services.

For the period since August 1 to September 1, 2009 IDGC of North-West restores the independent implementation of functions directed to the account of the electric power in the branches of the Company.

It is made with the purpose of the optimization of costs for works implementation. Such costs are connected with the forming of amounts of power transition, system and electric power measuring equipment service and the implementation of activities directed to the decrease of losses. Earlier the services in this kind of activity have been rendered by LLC “Energobalans” during three years.

In IDGC of North-West the process of power account functions transition will be carried out in two stages. The first companies to join the independent forming of amount of power transition are: From August 1 – “Karelenergo” and “Kolenergo” and from September 1 “Arkhenergo”, “Vologdaenergo”, “Komienergo” and “Novgorodenergo”.

According to Alexander Mikhalkov, Development and Services Realization Deputy General Director of IDGC of North-West, the Company developed and approved the schedule of transition to independent forming of the amounts of the rendered power transition services.

LLC “Energobalans” will continue the work with other objects of electric power. The part of the personnel of the organization – 957 persons – will be transited to work in IDGC of North-West. To carry out the activity the profile equipment will be acquired. A part of this equipment is planed to be bought form “Energobalans”. IDGC of North-West costs for material and technical support will account for about RUR 27.5 million.

“The decision to get back to the Company’s distribution grids the function of power account was caused by the goal of the costs decrease. This is the compulsory measure which will help to save 20% of the annual amount of the agreements for the services rendering concerning the forming of the amounts of power transition in the grids of IDGC of North-West”, said Alexander Mikhalkov.
