Deputy head of the Republic of Karelia – Minister of Economic Development Valentin Luntsevich, Director General of IDGC North-West Alexander Kuhmay and Director of "Karelenergo" Efim Ashkinezer accompanied Nikolay Shvets during the visit.
During his working visit to the North-West region General Director of Holding IDGC Nikolay Shvets and Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance Alexey Demidov, visited the island  Valaam. The top-managers inspected the preparedness of  power facilities to pass the autumn and winter peak loads.

As explained Alexander Kuhmay, currently, the electricity supply on the island is carried out by 12 transformer substations, two 6 kV overhead lines, over 5 km each and 22 power line 0.4 kV. The total capacity is 2.7 MVA.
Nikolai Shvets noted that power facilities of "Karelenergo" are in good condition and power quality meets all standards.
