Within the limits of the business trip, the IDGC of North-West’s general director Alexander Kukhmay and directors of the “Vologdaenergo”, “Karelenergo”, “Komienergo” and “Pskovenergo” branches, on invitation of the German party, will visit production sites of power cables with isolation made of cross-linked polyethylene by Nexans Deutschland Indastries in Hanover city.

Top managers will in detail examine technological process of cable manufacturing and meet with business partners. The visit schedule of Russian energy specialists also includes a visit to the plant of production of cable armature and systems of strengthening isolation Tyco Electronics Raychem GmbH in Ottobrun city.

The products of Europe’s leading companies have been already applied at the IDGC of North-West’s energy facilities both when reconstructing and when building new power objects. Equipment deliveries are carried out based on the results of tender procedures. 

According to the technical management of the united grid company, German manufacturers very actively co-operate with the IDGC of North-West, constantly participate in the company’s Uniform Presentation Day where they always represent the latest innovative developments for the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex.

According to the chief of the IDGC of North-West’s technical development department Alexander Zayats, “When equipping our objects, we use not only domestic products, but also foreign devices since they excel Russian colleagues as to some kinds of equipment and accessories.”

The program of the business visit of the IDGC of North-West’s heads in Germany provides for not only visits to enterprises, but also study of operational experience of one of the electric grid enterprises, conduction of consultations and negotiations with partners.
