The descision was made on the meeting of Alexander Kukhmay, General Director of IDGC of North-West, JSC with Ilya Mikhalchuk, the Head of The Arkhangelsk Region Administration.

Alexander Kukhmay, General Director of IDGC of North-West, JSC met today Ilya Mikhalchuk, the Head of The Arkhangelsk Region Administration. Among other factors, the meeting was devoted to solution of the regional energy deficit problem.

To remind, the latest tariff decision of the region administration for 2009 provides for inclusion of RUR 40 m for new power centers projecting in necessary gross revenues of “Arkhenergo”. The relevant Decree came into force on 1 May.

The today’s meeting resulted in an agreement between the governor and the head of IDGC of North-West. According to it, “Arkhenergo” starts projection of “Tsentralnaya” 110/10 kV substation which is going to be located at Privokzalny district of Arkhangelsk.

The new substation will allow significant decrease of free capacity deficit in the region center, unloading of existing substations and opportunity for technological connection of new consumers to grids. “Tsentralnaya” substation will be of a close type with increased sound insulation and maintained with modern equipment.

Measures on negotiation of energy crisis were also discussed at the meeting. In particular, participants discussed middle-term investment program of “Arkhenergo” and share of investments in cap rates for the year 2010.
