More than 1 billion rubles were invested in repairs of power facilities of the companies of IDGC of the North-West.

On November 7, in the office of the company, Veniamin Pinhasik, General Director of IDGC of the North-West, was given the Passport of preparedness for passing the autumn and winter period of 2007-2008.

The central commission headed by Vasily Guiguin, Deputy Chief of  the Department for the technical inspection of FGC UES , signed the Certificate confirming that all the basic and additional conditions of readiness of IDGC of the North-West for work during the autumn and winter period are met in due time and in full.

Members of the commission in person inspected a number of power facilities in Novgorodenergo, Komienergo, checked up the level of equipment of the emergency stock, in detail studied industrial indicators of IDGC and companies of the area of responsibility of the management organization. 

More than 1 billion rubles were invested in repairs of power facilities of the companies of IDGC of the North-West. The emergency stock was collected in full; the mechanisms of movement of materials and equipment from the emergency stock in case of occurrence of extreme situations from one region to another have been worked out. 

In 2007, the distribution grid companies thoroughly filled up the stock of special and superpassable equipment, reserve power supplies. Today there are 68 diesel engine-generators available in the regional grid companies.

During preparation for the winter, more than 600 emergency response exercises were held, including those involving representatives of housing and communal services, Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and disaster relief of the Russian Federation, authorities at the facilities. High-level intersystem trainings of Rapid Reaction Forces took place, which were generated upon the initiate of the management of IDGC of the North-West in RGC. Such kind of training was innovation for the companies of RAO UES of Russia.
 
According to the commission members' estimates, much attention was given to preparation of the personnel of dispatching services for the actions at introduction of temporary emergency restrictions of electric supply.
