Reorganization of the regional network companies of IDGC of the North-West will give a positive impact on the further development of power network business and the market as a whole.
This is the opinion of Yury Tseshkovskyi, Managing Director of Severo-Zapad Service-and-Repair Division of JSC Group E4, on the planned reorganization of the power companies by their accession to the Interregional Distributive Grid Company of the North-West.
Now the zone of responsibility of JSC IDGC of the North-West includes JSC Arkhenergo, JSC Kolenergo, JSC Karelenergo, JSC AEK Komienergo, JSC Novgorodenergo, JSC Pskovenergo, JSC Vologdaenergo, and JSC Yantarenergo.
Amalgamation of the regional companies around the federal center is carried out according to the state policy of consolidation of network assets around the Federal Grid Company (FGC). Independent network companies of the North-West region will become branches of IDGC of the North-West after reorganization. The first stage of reorganization is scheduled for the end of 2007.
