June 9, V. Busygin-General Director of "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" INC inaugurated an automated ambient monitoring centre.
Two stationary ecomonitoring sites are currently functioning: in the territory of the first industrial zone and in the Tank Parks area where the entire volume of the delivered-to-the-Company feedstock is discharged.
Unlike the analytical control existing till now when air and water were sampled by the Company sanitary-industrial laboratory analysts several times around the clock, an automated ecomonitoring system enables to trace the environmental content of hydrocarbons, dust and other repugnant substances on-line.
Information from the stationary sites is continuously relayed through the fiber optic lines to the computers of the Company Central Control Room and Sanitary-Industrial Lab, and allows for prompter indispensible decision-making.
In the near future, the Company will put into service another two stationary ecocontrol sites. Furthermore, an inhouse system is planned for link up to the Town-zone automated ambient monitoring system.
