“Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC commercialized full capacity production of modified polyglycol reagent "Reagent-Glycol-1" for drilling fluids.

Adding it in clay solutions enables to considerably reduce surface tension at interface with crude oil to 4-10 mN/m, to enhance inhibiting and lubricating properties. With this reagent of 2% mass present in a starch-biopolymer drilling fluid system, clay dispersion and swelling are reduced.

These results have been confirmed by the Drilling Fluid Laboratory Analysis Reports of Oil Research Institute, city of Ufa , and of Well Construction Designer, city of Izhevsk .

A positive effect due to application of this reagent was obtained during the industrial test in "Bashneft" oil fields when drilling wells through intervals, abnormal of caving-in layers.
