“ Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC became a prizewinner in the Contest for implementing a Republican Goal-Oriented Program "Energy Supply Efficiency in the Tatarstan Republic for 2006-2010". A certificate and a statuette were presented to V. Busygin, General Director of the Company, at the TR Government session timed to VIII International Symposium "Energy Supply Efficiency & Energy Saving" and IX International Exhibition "Energy. Resource-Saving 2007".

Within 2006 and 9 current year months, the Company saved 55.94m kWh of electric, 1.8m Gcal of heat energy, 39.3Kt of standard fuel. The saving rate only due to application of the innovative technology for isoprene one-stage synthesis amounted to RUR 1.02bn over 10 months of the year 2007.

Another of the most significant energy-saving projects implemented this year was startup of the cogeneration gas-turbine unit (GTU-75). In 2007, it will generate 85K Gcal of heat and 55m kWh of electric energy.
