December 1, “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC played host to an enlarged panel session of the RF Ministry for Industry & Energy and the Governing Board of the Russian Association of Industrialists and Businessmen to discuss a chemical and petrochemical industry development strategy until 2015. The attendees were: A. Reus – Deputy Minister of the RF Industry & Energy, V, Ivanov – President of the Russian Chemical Association, F. Mukhametshin – Chairman of the TR State Council, B. Pavlov – Minister of the TR Economy & Industry, V. Busygin – General Director of “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC, as well as Officials of Ministries and Major industrial companies of Russia and Tatarstan.
A. Reus delivered a speech of the basic course in developing chemical and petrochemical industry until 2015. Output volumes of the most important chemical and petrochemical products are assumed to scale up. Compared to 2005, polyethylene production will grow 1.8 times – up to 1.9mt, polypropylene 2.3 times – up to 690Kt, PVC 1.5 times - up to 0.9mt, polystyrene 2.7 times – up to 335Kt.
An advanced version of the Strategy aimed at maintaining production volumes, quality and range of products to comply with an aggregate demand of domestic and overseas markets was forwarded to the RF Government.
V. Busygin, General Director of “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC, dwelt on the Company development strategy calling for an increase in product volumes up to RUR 130bn by 2012.
D. Konov – President of “Sibur Holding” JSC, V. Shvetsov - General Director of “Severstal-Avto” JSC, V. Parmon – Director of the G.Boreskov Catalyse Institute, RAS, and others took part in the discussion of the Strategy.
The attendees approved of the draft Strategy and instructed the RF Industry Department to devise an implementation program for the same.
The guests also visited the industrial sites, the Company’s new production facilities.
