NLMK Group, an international steelmaking company with operations in Russia, Europe and the USA, is pleased to announce the appointments of Anatoly Khebnev as Vice President for Procurement and Dmitry Kolesov as Vice President for Maintenance.

The position of Vice President for Maintenance of NLMK Group is newly introduced. Dmitry Kolesov had been NLMK’s Director of Maintenance Planning and Organization since 2016.

Anatoly Khebnev held the position of Deputy VP for Procurement at NLMK Group since 2012. Brijesh Garg was the VP for Procurement. He has moved on to the newly created position of Procurement Director at NLMK International, the holding company for NLMK’s international operations.

Almost all key processes have been automated, we have initiated the centralization of procurement for global MRO categories and order processing times have been reduced many times over. Brijesh will be responsible for carrying over the Group’s successful experience to its international companies.  Anatoly Khebnev in his new capacity will continue centralizing procurement, and, as a result, optimizing the Company’s procurement-related costs. The introduction of a Vice President for Maintenance and the appointment of Dmitry Kolesov was motivated by the strategic importance of our goal of boosting the reliability of our equipment. In his role as VP for Maintenance Mr Kolesov will be responsible for implementing leading-edge system for equipment condition management and further improving the efficiency of maintenance activities at NLMK Group companies.”

Anatoly Khebnev’s biography

Anatoly Khebnev joined NLMK Group in 2005. He headed the Company’s controlling inspection; and supervised the implementation of the integrated SAP ERP system. In 2012 he was promoted to Deputy VP for Procurement. Prior to joining NLMK, he held various top-management positions in a number of Saint-Petersburg-based companies. He is a graduate of the Baltic State Technical University, specializing in Thermal Impulse Machines; and the International Management Institute of Saint Petersburg, specializing in National Economics and Law. He holds an MBA.

Brijesh Garg’s biography

Brijesh Garg has been Vice President, Procurement at NLMK since April 2012. He started his career in 1985 as an Industrial Engineer with Tata Steel, India. He progressed through various positions within the company and worked with other steel plants in New-Zealand Steel (BlueScope Steel, Australia) and ArcelorMittal, Kazakhstan & Ukraine.

He has 19 years of experience in supply chain management and business processes re-engineering in steel industry and 13 year of experience in industrial engineering.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a major in Industrial Engineering, and holds CPIM Certification from American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and is a certified SAP Solution Consultant.

Dmitry Kolesov’s biography

Dmitry Kolesov joined NLMK Group in June 2016. He began his career in Metals& Mining in 1998. He served as Executive Director of the Almaty Heavy Machine Building Plant, before spending 5 years in charge of SSM-Tyazhmash. From 2013 until joining NLMK in 2016, he held various top-management positions United Aircraft Corporation. Dmitry graduated from Cherepovets State Industrial Institute, specializing in ’Handling, construction and road machines and equipment‘; and Saint-Petersburg State Technical University, specializing in Management.
