NLMK is pleased to announce that its Quality Management System has passed the regular audit for compliance with International Standard ISO 9001:2000 and that its Quality System for carbon hot-rolled steel flats complies with the requirements of EC Directive - 97/23/EG and German technical regulations - AD 2000 W.   Furthermore, NLMK’s steel products comply with the European Council Directive’s 89/106/EEC requirements to be used in construction, and the company has gained the right to apply the ?? marking to these products. The audit was performed by representatives of the certifying body TÜV CERT.

Under the audit procedure, experts investigated the company’s current Quality Management System as well as the execution of standards and production facilities.  NLMK’s technical services were also inspected. The auditors confirmed the company’s Quality Management System compliance with International and European requirements as well as the right to apply the ?? marking to steel products for the construction industry.

The system of EC Directives keeps track of the quality of products entering the European market, and their safety for customers’ health and the environment. The ?? marking demonstrates the products’ conformity to the requirements of directives and allows the manufacturers products to be present in European markets.
