Earlier, at the June 6th meeting, AO Mosenergo board of directors stopped before term the powers of the General Director Arkady Yevstafiev. Vladimir Tchistyakov was appointed Acting General Director of AO Mosenergo.

?natoly Kopsov was born in 1942 in the village of Krasnousolsky, Bashkir ASSR. In 1965 he graduated from Ivanovo Power Institute as an automation and heating mechanic. Kopsov started his career in the power industry at Kaliningrad State Regional Power Plant (GRES) No 2, where from 1958 to 1968 he made his way from an apprentice mechanic to shop foreman. In 1968 Kopsov joined Karamanovskaya GRES of Bashkirenergo, as automation engineer in the heat automation and instrumentation shop; from 1983 to 1988 he headed the plant. In 1988 Kopsov was appointed General Director of Bashkirenergo. From 1992 to 1994 he was chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Since 1994 Kopsov has worked for RAO UES of Russia, holding several positions, including that of General Director of RAO representation in Russia’s Central region – Centrenergo, chairman’s deputy on RAO’s management board, director of generating facility construction. In 2004 Kopsov was appointed head of the capital construction directorate of RAO UES corporate center. Kopsov has been member of AO Mosenergo board of directors since 1996 and was its chairman from 1996 to 2004. Anatoly Kopsov earned the degree of Doctor of Technical Science, Professor and has been awarded honors, including «Veteran of Work» medal, «For services to the Russian power industry» plaque and «For Service to the Fatherland» order of IV degree.
