On March 16, 2005, the results of the IV All-Russian Contest for Organization of High Social Efficiency were summed up. AO MOSENERGO was awarded third place in the nomination «Implementation of social programs and development of local community.»

The contest was held by the order of the Government of the Russian Federation for the fourth time. It was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ministry of Health and Social Development, as well as other bodies of the executive branch and all-Russia associations of employers and trade unions. All Russian companies and organizations could take part in the contest. The purpose of the event was to attract attention to the solution of social issues at enterprises and organizations, demonstrate high efficiency, as well as facilitate exchange of experience between its participants. The result were drawn in the way that all participants were put in equal conditions regardless the nature of their operations, production volumes and number of employees.

AO MOSENERGO won the third place in the nomination «Implementation of social programs and development of the local community.» This award was given to the company due to the implementation of social programs such as the medical services and organization of summer vacations for employees and their families, labor safety efforts, etc. According to the press-secretary of AO MOSENERGO Mikhail Korotkov, «ultimately, the Company aims to ensure the economic efficiency of its operations. At the same time, AO MOSENERGO realizes the huge responsibility that is assumed by the business in respect to the society.»

AO MOSENERGO has participated in these contests four times. Each time, it won prizes in various nominations. In 2002, AO MOSENERGO won first place in the nomination «Implementation of social programs and development of local community.» As the biggest Russian regional power system, AO MOSENERGO considers it its duty and honor to provide support to the Russian culture, education and sports. Currently, the Commission for Charity and Material Assistance works at AO MOSENERGO, selects the most significant projects and controls their implementation.
