The Obolensk-based State Scientific Center for Applied Microbiology (the SSCAM) owes to AO MOSENERGO more than 50 mln rubles. On September 30, AO MOSENERGO planned to cut off power supply to SSCAM's sub-customers that are based at the SSCAM's premises and consume around 20% of the power. However, despite official orders the SSCAM guards prevented the representative of Energosbyt, AO MOSENERGO's sales division from accessing the equipment to disconnect the power.
Despite the frequently cited reason for not paying the debts (the lack of funds), the SSCAM finds money to engage in core activities. In addition, Zhilservis, a Serpukhov municipal organization, transfers to the SSCAM on a monthly basis around 900,000 rubles to pay for electricity, heat, water and sewers. In its turn, AO MOSENERGO, which is supposed to be paid more than 1.5 mln rubles per month, has supplied the SSCAM with free electricity for four years.
In the near future, AO MOSENERGO intends to hold more talks with the SSCAM management to jointly find ways for resolving the situation. One of the options is to arrange direct payments from Zhilservis to AO MOSENERGO.
AO MOSENERGO is set to cut off 2 out of 3 power supply lines to the SSCAM on October 17. The power will be cut off from the main feeding facility of AO MOSENERGO.
