Results of 2004 operations have been summed up

Moscow

AO MOSENERGO summed up results of 2004 operations showing an increase in power generation aimed at covering the growing consumption in the Moscow region.

Last year, power consumption in the Moscow region has for the third time exceeded the maximal value reached in 1990. Last year, AO MOSENERGO shipped to consumers 82.5 bn kW/h of power which exceeds the maximal levels of 1990 and 2003 by 11.3% and 4.1% respectively. In order to meet the power demand, AO MOSENERGO purchased 8.52 kW/h of electricity at the wholesale electricity market.

The Company supplied to consumers 70.5 m Gcal of heat which is 3.8% less than 2003 (the reason—warmer than usual winter)

In order to meet consumption needs of Moscow and Moscow region, in 2005 AO MOSENERGO plans to generate 72,96 bn kW/h of electric power and 67.8 m of heat.
