During August 2001 AO MOSENERGO cut receivables by 2.8 billion rubles

During August 2001 AO MOSENERGO reduced receivables by 2.8 billion rubles, to 9.6 billion rubles - by 21percent.

At present the main debtors of AO MOSENERGO are wholesale buyers/re-sellers of electricity and heat, as well as enterprises financed from the federal budget. As of September 1, 2001, the debt of re-sellers exceeded 2.5 billion rubles, while the budgetary entities owed 1.7 billion rubles. The major budgetary entities that are financed at the expense of the federal budget are the Ministry of Defense (1,404 million rubles), the Interior Ministry (148 million rubles), the Ministry of Education (104 million rubles).

In the present year welfare enterprises that are financed from the City of Moscow budget have paid 100 percent for current consumption and redeemed in full the past energy debts.
