Russian Grids has created a taskforce to fulfil an agreement signed with the Rostec State Corporation. The cooperation agreement was concluded between the companies in December of 2013 by the General Director of Rostec Sergey Chemezov and the General Director of Russian Grids Oleg Budargin.

The agreement was concluded to create the necessary foundation for implementing projects in the sphere of IT and communications, operational, technological and situational management, as well as in the sphere of developing and manufacturing advanced high-tech import substituting equipment.

In particular, both companies expressed their intentions to work on implementing innovative equipment, advanced electrical products, to jointly develop systems of diagnosing and monitoring technological equipment, energy-saving technologies and to improve the quality of energy supply to the consumers.

On its part, Russian Grids is ready to use the scientific and technical potential of leading organisations within the corporation to upgrade and reconstruct key facilities across electricity grids as well as the electric grid and telecommunications equipment.

The main goals of the newly-created taskforce will be to formulate proposals on using information technology to improve the effectiveness of company operations as well as to develop the Russian Grids’ Situation Analysis Centre while also optimising the processes of collecting, analysing and summarising information.

There are also plans to organise a united system of information security for the company and its subsidiaries and to implement advanced means of informational security while accounting for Russian equipment manufactured by companies which are part of the Rostec State Corporation. The taskforce to fulfil the present agreement is headed by Advisor to the General Director of Russian Grids Anatoly Groshev.
