"Rosseti to act as strategic partner of SPIEF 2021 and present its experience in the COVID-19 pandemic environment

"Rosseti will discuss the management of the Russian power grid complex in the COVID-19 pandemic environment and the formation of a new economic reality as part of the SPIEF-2021 business programme. A number of agreements aimed at improving the efficiency and technological development of the industry are to be signed. In addition, the company will ensure a reliable power supply to the forum venues.

"Rosseti was among the first Russian corporations to launch a set of measures to counter the spread of coronavirus in March 2020. Despite the continuous production cycle, at the peak of the pandemic, the company ensured that as many employees as possible and 100% of its customer service centres started working in the remote mode. At the same time, ROSSETI prevented the decrease in reliability and quality of electricity supply services, implemented measures ahead of schedule to prepare for the autumn-winter peak load period, and continued to implement investment programme projects with a total financing of 283.3 bln rubles.

At the SPIEF-2021 panel session "World Electricity Industry: Challenges and Opportunities of the New Time", Andrey Ryumin, Rosseti Director General, will speak about the company's experience of working in a pandemic environment, tactical tasks and strategic priorities. The exhibition will showcase key projects in the regions where the company operates.

"Rosseti is also implementing a set of measures to improve power supply reliability and ensure the anti-terrorist protection of power facilities during the preparation and holding of SPIEF-2021. The "reinforced" operation scheme will involve about 600 people and 150 vehicles and special equipment, with diesel generator units and uninterruptible power supplies to provide back-up. Power supply schemes for the city's transport infrastructure, key attractions and residences for official delegations are being prepared.

In order to coordinate the reliable power supply to the forum, Rosseti will make sure that the SPIEF 2021 Situation and Analysis Centre is available 24/7 (from 31 May to 6 June 2021).

"Rosseti Group is a strategic partner of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum; the company provides design, construction and electrical installation work, equipment supply, and operation of temporary power supply networks at the SPIEF-2021 event venues. As an active participant in the Forum's business programme, the Rosseti Group will present its experience during the pandemic. The timely and competent transformation of business processes enabled the company to get through this difficult period without reducing efficiency," said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organising Committee.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has tested the resilience of the infrastructure industries on which the entire economy depends. "Rosseti coped with substantial difficulties, ensured a reliable electricity supply to consumers and maintained a high rate of development. We now face the challenges of economic recovery and new, ambitious targets, and possibly additional points of growth. We expect that the discussions at SPIEF-2021 will not only permit us to make sure we are on the same page with our colleagues, but also to find an answer to pressing issues on the energy agenda," said Andrey Ryumin, Rosseti Director General.
