During the working meeting with RF Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoys to the Central Federal District, Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of ROSSETI, has discussed the issues of the strengthening of cooperation between the companies of the power grid complex and regional authorities.
Pavel Livinskiy reported on the set of measures implemented by ROSSETI to ensure the reliability and quality of power supply to the consumers of the Central Federal District, including the implementation of digital network construction pilot projects. He also specified the support that can be provided by the constituent territories in this regard.
The parties has also talked on establishing new instruments for cooperation between generating companies, regional authorities and relevant local services during elimination of massive interruptions of electric power supply to consumers mostly caused by weather anomalies.
The importance of the constant development of alerting services by using all currently available communication channels was placed in strong relief.
The issues highlighted at today's meeting are of crucial importance since it is the Central Federal District where an increase in the number of hazardous meteorological phenomena that negatively affect the operation of power equipment can be observed. Even though during the first months of 2018, when the central regions were consistently affected by the "Snowfall of the Century" and the strongest hurricane in the history of meteorological observations, the existing grid management system proved to be highly efficient with no blackouts, only joint efforts of generating power and the authorities can eliminate risks of serious interruptions of electric power supply to consumers in the future.
