Oleg Budargin is elected to position of Chief Executive Officer of Russian Grids. The directive was considered for approval by Government Presidential Executive Office and Rosseti Management Board gave an official decision about it on June 14.
The same day turn over block of shares of JSC “FGC UES” from Russian Federation represented by Federal Property Management Agency to Rosseti was held. According to May 6, 2013 Board Resolution it is a ground for a rescission of a contract and termination of authorities of Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System.
Oleg Budargin was born on November 16, 1960. He graduated from Norilsk Industrial Institute majoring in “Industrial and civil construction”. In 1984 he started his professional career as a foreman in the Construction and Erection Department of the Construction and Erection Association “NorilskStroy”. In 1995 he was appointed deputy general director of Norilsk Nikel. From 2000 – Norilsk mayor, from 2003 – governor of Taymyr (Dolgan-Nenets) Autonomous Region.
In 2009 he was elected Chairman of the Management Board of Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (JSC “FGC UES”). He is a member of the Russian Presidential Commission for Strategic Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector and Environmental Security. He has a number of national and industrial awards.
