On 12 April 2004, General Director of JSC CenterTelecom summed up at the conference calling session the results of the Company’s work to provide communication support to major national campaigns – "Direct Line with the President of the Russian Federation" and Elections of the RF President and the RF Federal Assembly State Duma Deputies.
JSC CenterTelecom provided the two national campaigns with communications facilities, being the basic operator in the Central Federal District (CFD).
In the course of the elections of the RF President and State Duma Deputies, the Company provided an uninterrupted and quality performance of its communications media, including the "Elections" State Computer-Aided System, to all-level constituency election committees.
During the "Direct Line with the President of Russia" session proceeded in the real-time mode, the Company fixed up a faultless information transmission in all the CFD regions. During the peak hours, electronic-voice servers were activated at all the long-distance telephone exchanges of the CenterTelecom affiliates. Thus, not a single telephone call addressed to the President was "lost".
The JSC CenterTelecom activity of providing support to the state importance events across the CFD territory was highly appraised by the communication industry leaders.
All the regional election committees of the District noted a high quality of the Company’s telecommunications performance. The Chairman of the Central Election Committee Mr. Alexander Veshnyakov highly commended the work of the CenterTelecom communication employees, while summing up the results of the RF President elections.
JSC CenterTelecom General Director Mr. Ruben Amaryan expressed his gratitude to the Company’s specialists that took an active part in providing the nationwide election campaigns with the top-notch telecommunications facilities.
