In the year 2002, Four Hundred Ninety-Seven Thousand and Six Hundred Sixty-Two (497 662) telephone numbers were put into operation, based on: city telephone exchanges - 428 048, rural telephone exchanges - 39 513, mobile radio communications facilities - 30 100 numbers. Three Thousand and Thirteen (3 013) km of fiber optic transmission lines were laid. Most of the fiber optic lines are laid within the following telecom infrastructures: Belsvyaz - 456 km, Moscow Region telecom - 408 km, Vladimir Region telecom - 375 km. The Moscow Constituent Company built radio relay transmission lines with a total extension of 125 km.
The Automatic Long Distance/International Telephone Exchanges were enhanced by 10 140 numbers. Most of the enhancement work was carried out at the following PJSC CenterTelecom constituent companies: Voronezhsvyazinform - 2 880 ports, Moscow Constituent Company - 4 590 ports, and 1 830 ports at the Tver Constituent Company.
