Moscow, October 29, 2010. CenterTelecom OJSC reports first results of its social program "Age Is Not an Obstacle for Internet Literacy". In October 114 senior people who took part in the program received certificates issued by CenterTelecom's Belgorod, Ivanovo, Lipetsk, Tver and Ryazan branches and Domolink branded gifts. The members of groups trained by other CenterTelecom's branches are to receive their certificates soon.
The program's participants are going to use their new skills very soon. Some of them already use Domolink, CenterTelecom's broadband Internet access service; other trainees plan to subscribe to Domolink very soon. The program participants now may find new friends and communicate with them online at www.webgramota.ru and other web sites. They also may send electronic requests to local and national governments through e-government portal.
CenterTelecom implements the social program in its 17 regional branches since March 2010. The program is aimed at development of the senior citizens' computer skills. In the course of training sessions the program participants learn to create text documents, to use email, to visit web sites and social networks, to buy products in online shops and to send requests to the governmental portals. The trainees receive certificates upon completion of the training program. The number of the participants of the program now amounts to over 3,500 people.
