Moscow, April 6, 2005. CenterTelecom top managers took part in the Russian national congress dedicated to IT and communications industry operations in Y 2004 and to Y 2005 objectives.

CenterTelecom General Director Ruben Amaryan, First Deputy General Director - the company's Financial Director Alexey Lokotkov, Deputy General Director - CenterTelecom Commercial Director Sergei Pridantsev, Deputy General Director - CenterTelecom Technical Director Maxim Pegasov as well as the company's regional branches' directors participated in the plenary meeting of the Russian national congress.

Leonid Reiman, the Minister of Information Technologies and Communications of the Russian Federation, the Vice-President of the Federation Assembly Dmitry Mezentsev, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Andrey Sharonov, the Deputy Head of Federal Rates Agency Vitaly Evdokimenko, heads of the federal agencies and services, the General Directors of the industry's system-forming companies addressed the Congress attended by the management of the major IT and communications companies of the industry.

In his address the Minister of Information Technologies and Communications of the Russian Federation Leonid Reiman summarized the results of the industry's activities in 2004 and outlined the priorities of development for 2005, which included the creation of conditions to make ICT widespread and efficiently utilized in the socio-economic sphere and the government, meet the growing private and corporate demand for modern infocomm services on the entire territory of the country as well as transform the national production in the ICT sphere into a major driver of Russia's economic growth. "These objectives will ensure access of companies, state and municipal government and general public to the telecommunication infrastructure and information resources and shaping the competitive environment," - said Mr. Reiman in conclusion.
