On June 24 2004 The Inspectorate of the Tax Ministry of the Russian Federation registered amendments to CenterTelecom Bylaws adopted at CenterTelecom general meeting. The meeting decided to unify the company names of the following affiliates:
- Belsvyaz, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to Belgorod branch of CenterTelecom;
- Bryansksvyazinform, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to Bryansk branch of CenterTelecom;
- Elektrosvyaz Vladimirskoi Oblasti, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to CenterTelecom Vladimir branch;
- Voronezhsvyazinform, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to CenterTelecom Voronezh branch;
- Ivtelecom, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to CenterTelecom Ivanovo branch;
- KostromaTelecom, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to CenterTelecom Kostroma branch;
- Lipetskelectrosvyaz, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to CenterTelecom Lipetsk branch;
- SmolenskTelecom, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to CenterTelecom Smolensk branch;
- Tambovskaya Electrosvyaz, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to CenterTelecom Tambov branch;
- TulaTelecom, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to CenterTelecom Tula branch;
- Yartelecom, a CenterTelecom branch, has been renamed to CenterTelecom Yaroslavl branch.
The changes affected 11 out of 17 branches.
Elena Sidorovich, CenterTelecom Securities and Corporate Governance Director, believes that it was a necessary step was in the process of the regional company’s unification.
The consolidated CenterTelecom brand in the Central Federal Region plays an important role in marketing the company’s telecommunication services.
