Moscow, January 26, 2011. Senior managers of CenterTelecom OJSC and a central branch of Rostelecom OJSC have held a strategic session chaired by Vaagn Martirosyan, General Director, CenterTelecom, Vice President, Rostelecom. The companies' managers discussed the core issues of the companies' forthcoming reorganization.
According to a research conducted by Cominfo Consulting CJSC, an implementation of One Hundred Cubed, a key strategic initiative, is one of the main factors of successful development of CenterTelecom. Vaagn Martirosyan pointed out: "One Hundred Cubed is the most important project for our company, and we are going to work on it jointly with Rostelecom."
Ruslan Dolgushin, Commercial Director, CenterTelecom, and Vadim Kondratov, Technical Director, CenterTelecom, presented the One Hundred Cubed project in details. The strategic initiative is to allow the company to provide high priority rate of development of broadband Internet services in Central Russia. Use of the program by the integrated Rostelecom is to allow the new national operator to get the leading position not only in broadband segment but also in the telecommunications market in general.
Alexander Savchyuk, Director, Cominfo Consulting, commenting on the situation in telecommunications market of Russia's Central Federal District, noted its growth and high competitiveness level. He said that all market players have opportunities for development; however the companies with developed infrastructure and newest equipment, such as Rostelecom, will have an undeniable advantage in the market.
The managers of the companies discussed key issues of the oncoming reorganization and of development of the integrated operator in the near years. Vyacheslav Smith, Vice President, Director of Central Branch, Rostelecom, Deputy General Director, CenterTelecom, said that the process of the companies' merger had been begun. He added: "This strategic session open up an opportunity for informal communications. It will make a positive impact on the company's business development, its optimization and a finding of a synergy."
