On February 18 2004, the Kaluga Region Government held the 1st Investment Forum in the city of Kaluga. The Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President for the Central Federal District of Russia, representatives of the Administrations of the Russian Federation CFD entities, leadership of the RF Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies, Ministry of Transport and other federal authorities of Russia, Russian and foreign businessmen, representatives of banks and investment funds, and other persons concerned took part in the Forum. Mr. G.S. Poltavchenko, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President for the Central Federal District of Russia, gave an address of welcome to the Forum and named the raising of investment attractiveness, development of the regional economies the key element to attain the objective of redoubling the country's GDP.

JSC CenterTelecom, one of the leading investors of the constituent regions of the Central District, took part in the investment projects exhibition and the plenary session of the Forum.

The General Director of the Company noted in his presentation the growth of investment in the Kaluga telecom affiliate, being one of the most advanced corporate entities in the field of telecommunications infrastructures development of the Federation constituents, enabling to apply modern technologies in all areas of the life in the Region. He reassured the Forum participants that JSC CenterTelecom possessed high-end technologies and resources allowing to provide each zone of the investment activeness and the economy growth points in the regions of the Central Federal District with all the necessary telecommunications facilities. The new infocommunication requirements will be appropriately reflected in the investment policies of JSC CenterTelecom.

A variety of business meetings were held during the Forum.
