So the uniform 009 number is substituting the following formerly used service numbers:

• 05-0 (information on medical institutions; availability of medication in pharmacies; calling a doctor; medication home delivery),
• 05-3 (car towing; horoscopes; detailed information on goods and services; weather forecast; hotel reservation; train schedules; tickets; calling a taxi; information on exhibitions, theatres repertoire, cinemas, sports competitions; "your secretary" service),
• 05-9 (information on address, phones, goods and services provided by various organizations as well as road information to selected addresses).

According to Mr. Smirnov, the main objective of further reorganization of the directory service is to enhance the data base and the list of services provided.
