Moscow City Telephone

November 22, 2004

Moscow City Telephone Network started testing additional communication services in Mitino: call waiting and hold, call forwarding, teleconferencing and hot line

"Access to the services has so far been granted to 60 thousand subscribers of Mitino digital exchanges. Nevertheless, this is an important event for the company which until recently only provided access to the telephone network," - said MGTS general director Mikhail Smirnov.

In 2005 the number of subscribers who can take advantage of the new services will grow more than 10 times. In 095 calling area there will be as many as 30 percent of subscribers next year. Further, as analog exchanges are replaced by digital, these services will be available to everyone.

In 499 calling area the situation is completely the opposite: all equipment has been digital from the beginning. Therefore, all new services that will be introduced by MGTS will be first of all available to these subscribers.

"The introduction of new services is not the only innovation. MGTS is introducing an entirely new structure of client service that will take applications for line connection over the phone. It will not be necessary to go anywhere, stand in lines and fill forms," - said M.Smirnov.

Services will be provided in the "Try&Buy" mode: free for up to two months. During the second month customers will be billed for the third month. The fact of having paid this bill will become the event of signing an agreement between the subscriber and MGTS.

The list of new services access numbers (operational on November 22) is as follows:
