A respective agreement to provide roaming by using OJSC MGTS telephone cards was signed by the two telecommunications operators. This service will be made available from forty (40) card-operated public payphones to begin with that are fixed in the central transfer stations of the St. Petersburg metro. For the users convenience, dwellers and guests of St. Petersburg, each of the public payphones will have a sticker stating that it "Accepts MGTS Telephone Cards". During 2002, it is intended to introduce this service to all the CJSC "Metrocom" public payphones installed in the subway of St. Petersburg.
