Iron and Steel Works (MMK) was one of the winners at the annual
Company and Person of the Year business awards, held with the support
of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Russian Public
Opinion Research Center (VCIOM). The expert jury selected MMK as the
winner in the Iron and Steel Industry category.
The
award ceremony was hosted by the Russian Union of Industrialists and
Entrepreneurs in Moscow on 2 April.
“This
level of recognition by the business community reflects MMK’s
leading position in the Russian steel market. We rank first both in
sales of steel products and in sales of premium products. As of
today, we are one of the largest suppliers for the pipe industry, the
construction industry, the machine-building industry and the
automotive industry. As outlined in our development strategy, our
goal is to be the best supplier [in the industry] and to maintain our
focus on our customers’ needs for high-quality products and
first-class service. This guiding principle implies continuous
improvement in every aspect of our operations,” said Pavel
Shilyaev, CEO of MMK.
