St. Petersburg, Russia; 27 December 2018– Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its hypermarkets in Murmansk, Izhevsk and Maykop.
The first store is Lenta compact hypermarket located in Murmansk at 2 Radischeva street. The store has a total area of 8,256 sq.m with 5,470 sq.m of selling space and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A broad assortment of products of 20,500 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Murmansk. The store has 216 parking spaces and 24 cash registers including 4 self-checkout lanes. The property is owned by Lenta.
Two new compact hypermarkets are opened in Izhevsk and located at 87 Baranova street and 146 Kirova street. The stores have a total area of 7,200 sq.m and 7,377 sq.m with 4,374 sq.m and 4,217 sq.m of selling space, respectively. Hypermarket at Baranova street is open from 8 am to 11 pm, the store at Kirova street is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A broad assortment of products of 17,500 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Izhevsk. Both stores have 20 cash registers including 4 self-checkout lanes. Both properties are leased by Lenta.
Lenta also opened its first compact hypermarket in Maykop, South, located at 190 Stepnaya street. The store has a total area of 8,552 sq.m with 5,101 sq.m of selling space and is open from 8 am to 11 pm, 7 days a week. The store has 16 cash registers including 4 self-checkout lanes. A broad assortment of products of 20,500 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Maykop. The property is leased by Lenta.
Product assortment of hypermarkets includes Lenta’s private labels and federal product ranges alongside local produce.
The new openings are Lenta’s tenth, eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth hypermarket launches in 2018 and bring the total number of Lenta stores to 243 hypermarkets in 89 cities across Russia and 133 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Siberia, Urals and the Central region.
