St. Petersburg, Russia; 27 September, 2017– Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its second hypermarket in Astrakhan, bringing the Company’s total to two hundred hypermarkets across the country.
The new store is a Lenta compact format hypermarket located in 2 Yablochkova street, Astrakhan. The store has a total area of 7,800 sq.m. with 4,283 sq.m. of selling space and is open 24 hours, seven days a week. A broad product assortment of 17,500 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Astrakhan and includes Lenta’s private labels and federal product ranges offered alongside local produce. The store has 186 parking spaces and 22 cash registers including 4 self-checkout lanes. The property is owned by Lenta.
This opening in Astrakhan is Lenta’s ninth hypermarket opening in 2017 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 200 hypermarkets in 79 cities across Russia and 61 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and the Central region.
