With this opening, Lenta expands its network in the Volga Region to 22 hypermarkets in 18 cities
St-Petersburg, Russia; 06 November, 2015– Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its first hypermarket in Republic Mordovia.
The new store is a Lenta compact format hypermarket located in the “City Park” shopping mall at 87 Volgogradskaya Street, Saransk. The store has a total area of 7,475 sq.m, with 4,241 sq.m of selling space and is open from 9 am to 11 pm, seven days a week. A broad product assortment of 16,000 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Saransk and includes Lenta’s private label and federal product ranges alongside local produce. The store has 800 parking spaces and 24 cash registers. The property is leased by Lenta.
This opening is Lenta’s sixteenth hypermarket opening in 2015 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 124 hypermarkets in 64 cities across Russia and 27 supermarkets in the Moscow region.
