LUKOIL and Moscow Kremlin Museums continue cooperation

An exhibition titled Ambassador Gifts for Russian Tsars is opened today in Moscow. It is another joint project of the LUKOIL Company and the Moscow Kremlin Museums.

LUKOIL and the Moscow Kremlin Museums have a long history of cooperation. In the recent years the Company helped organize the Kremlin’s exhibitions including Russian coat of arms. 500 years (1997), Christie and LUKOIL in Moscow (1997), Siberian relics (1997), German silver masterpieces in Kremlin (2002), Russia and Britain. 450 years of diplomatic relations (2003).

In 2004 LUKOIL and the Moscow Kremlin Museums started implementation of a joint program related to organization of outdoor exhibitions in Russia’s regions. The first such exhibition titled Tsar and Emperor's Hunting in the 17th and 18th centuries was presented in the fall of 2004 in Perm Art Gallery. In the framework of the exhibition lectures and guide tours were held for children, which also included theatrical skits. An interactive zone which allowed the Moscow Kremlin Museums to present their multimedia educational product titled Tsar and Emperor Hunting was organized. In the end of the exhibition, in winter of 2005, children in orphanages and foster homes supported by LUKOIL had classes with professors from the Kremlin Museums. An art contest was held among them, and 20 contest winners were awarded with a trip to Moscow for the final stage of the competition.

In 2006 a regional program will be followed by an exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod.
