July 14, 2008, Moscow. Comstar – United Telesystems (JSC Comstar-UTS, LSE: CMST), the leading supplier of integrated telecom solutions in Russia and the CIS announced appointment of Vladimir Mamay as Director of JSC COMSTAR-UTS’s South branch.

V. Mamay will work as Director of South branch of JSC COMSTAR-UTS and First Deputy Director of JSC Digital Telephone Networks South (DTN), which is his current position. DTN is a subsidiary of JSC COMSTAR-UTS in Rostov region. As a Head of South branch of JSC COMSTAR-UTS he succeeded to Yuri Blokhin on this position.

Vladimir Mamay was born in 1963. In 1988 he graduated from Novocherkassk Polytechnical Institute named after Sego Ordzhonikidze with the qualification «Electrical-engineer». In 2002 he received PhD technical degree.

V. Mamay started his career in 1981 at GSMNU trust “Zapspetsavtomatika” (city of Gomel). In 1982-1989 he worked at Rostov Scientific-research institute for special information-measuring systems. From 1989 until 1993 he worked in different positions at different companies in Rostov region: programmer at scientific-technical co-operative “Logos”, director for self-financing scientific-technical service of LLC “Municipal union”, head of programmers section of joint Russian-Italian venture “Polimprizma”. In 1993 he moved to JSC «Rostselmash», and in 1997 to DTN Company, where he worked since its establishment. He worked there successively as Deputy Director, Director, chief engineer, Deputy Commercial Director. In 2002-2003 he worked as chief engineer of LLC “PC Quant”. Since 2007 he holds position of the First Deputy Director of DTN.
