A city bus manufactured by NefAZ Inc. was announced as the best Russian bus of 2004 at the «Best Vehicle of the Year» contest, which is annually arranged by a MEDIA GLOBE company. The contest has been taking place for five years already. Its jury usually consists of well-known Russian sports journalists, who are often professional drivers and racers themselves too.

The ceremony of rewarding of winners took place on 25 May within the V International specialized «Commercial Transport 2004» contest in Moscow.

A NefAZ city bus became the leader among Russian city buses thus leaving on the second position a LiAZ bus that for many years has used to be a monopolist on the domestic market.
