On February 12, 2005 in Abu-Dhabi, capital of UAE, there was opened IDEX-2005. At the exhibition KAMAZ Inc. represented two side trucks — KAMAZ-65224 and KAMAZ-6560. KAMAZ-4911 sport truck, the famous «flying truck» piloted by Vladimir Tchaguine, was also supposed to be represented at this show, but got into a crash the day before the exhibition, on February 11. The pilot himself had no need in hospitalization. KAMAZ-4911 was repaired and exhibited at the exposition.

Nobody could have predicted such unpeculiar for KAMAZ situation: the truck bumped against the ground. The front axle broke. And the fore wheel came off, hit the cab and broke the side window.

It was unexpected for other participants that KAMAZ-4911 continued to take part in exhibition after such a crash. «This crash proved the truck’s highest repairing capability and showed the Company’s high technical service,» Sergey Koghogin, Director General of KAMAZ Inc. said.
