Russian “Certification of superstructures, road-repairing machines and equipment” seminar takes place from 18th to 21st November 2003.
The seminar is arranged by KAMAZ Inc. together with “SAMT – Fond”, Body of special vehicle certification (Moscow). The seminar is targeted at discussion of current problems of domestic manufacturers’ output certification according to the Russian Federation Law “On technical regulation”, dated July 1st, 2003.
It is planned to separate demands into compulsory technical rules and voluntary standards and to move the Russian system’s technical regulations to European standards according to this law. The process of introduction of these international standards into Russia is planned for 7 years. Security demands for each kind of industry output, including vehicle, will be determined by this and following laws and acts.
Miron Griff - the manager of «SAMT – Fund», Doctor of Science, Professor, heads the seminar. The experts of his Certification Body will introduce the participants of the seminar, among which there will be about 100 representatives of Russian assembly plants of superstructures based on KAMAZ chassis, with chief tendencies of gradual reorganization of vehicle certification system. Managers of divisions of Russian National Standard, State Road Inspection and NAMI and VNIIMASH science and research centres are invited to this seminar too.
Managers and experts of KAMAZ Inc. will inform the guests about upgrading of KAMAZ trucks and chassis according to the European security standards and technical regulation law, and introduce approximate period, when some kinds of trucks are to be powered with Euro-2 environmentally friendly engines.
“SAMT - Fund” has initiated this seminar in Naberezhnye Chelny due to the fact that KAMAZ Inc. is the leader among domestic manufacturers of chassis and superstructures. The market share of KAMAZ Inc. together with 130 assembly plants today is 52%, and it has been increased by almost 7% within a year. KAMAZ and its partners are interested in quick transition to European security demands. They will work out plan of cooperation and will revise offers for the Central Certification Body on the discussed questions.
Within these days the guests of the seminar will visit the “KAMAZ – Diesel” and Assembly plant productions and new trucks and chassis exhibition at R&D. They will have business meetings with managers and experts of the Company’s divisions.
