LSR.Aggregates, a subsidiary of LSR Group, one of the leading real estate developers and building materials producers in Russia, has expanded its building materials market presence by acquiring the Tarayka 3 sand quarry in Kingiseppsky District, Leningrad Region.
‘This acquisition was made in line with our strategy for the LSR Group’s building materials division, which aims to grow our client base in our home region and optimise logistics,’ said Vasiliy Kostritsa, LSR Group Deputy CEO for Building Materials. ‘Now we have a production-ready sand quarry in Kingiseppsky District, which has already begun its first shipments and will be able to meet local client demand for high-quality materials.’
For instance, due to its convenient location, the new quarry is well-positioned to supply the construction site for the future Complex for Processing Ethane-Containing Gas near the town of Ust-Luga—especially given its sand’s notably high permeability, which makes it an ideal raw material both for landscaping individual properties, and for all manner of infrastructure construction. LSR.Aggregates also supplies sea sand from offshore deposits in the Gulf of Finland, and is one of the Leningrad Region’s leading aggregate producers. Acquiring sites with modern production capacities in Kingiseppsky District will allow LSR Group to strengthen its position on the non-metallic building materials market in the Northwest Federal District, as well as help optimise expenses.
