Mikhail Likhachev was elected as Chairman of the Management Committee – Director General of Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo.
Mikhail Likhachev was born in 1971 in the Leningrad Region. In 1994 he graduated from Baltic State Technical University named after Ustinov. In 2009 he received his MBA degree in Moscow International University.
Between 2003 and 2011 Mikhail Likhachev was Head of the Pipes and Fittings Department at Gazprom Komplektatsiya.
Between 2011 and 2014 he worked as Deputy Director General for Supply Management at Gazprom Komplektatsiya.
Mikhail Likhachev is a successor of Viktor Zubkov, former Chairman of the Management Committee – Director General of Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo, who is Chairman of the Gazprom Board of Directors.
“Large-scale consistent efforts have been taken in a short period of time, from the onset of Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo. A big boost was given to the development of the Russian NGV market. The project acquired a nationwide status and received wide public support.
Relationships were established across all government levels, timely legislative initiatives were prepared. The interaction of all the NGV market players – regional authorities, major NGV equipment and machinery manufacturers, financial institutions, large vehicle fleets – was built up as a single chain. Fifteen major Russian Regions signed Cooperation Agreements with Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo in 2013; sixteen leading Russian and international companies announced their intentions to expand the output of NGV motor vehicles and machinery.
2014 is a new development stage for the NGV market and the company. As a matter of fact, it concerns transitioning from strategy to tactics. Large-scale turnkey construction of the NGV infrastructure begins: from equipment purchasing to facilities commissioning.
At this point I decided to focus on Gazprom's strategic objectives in my capacity of the Board of Directors Chairman. Among other things, my activities will be closely related to accomplishing strategic goals and objectives of the Russian NGV market development,” said Viktor Zubkov.
