Gazprom delegation led by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee continues its business trip to Eastern Siberia and the Far East.

Today in Vladivostok Gazprom delegation visited Zvezda, the Far Eastern Shipbuilding Plant.

Also today the delegation arrived to the city of Khabarovsk. Khabarovsk hosted meeting between Alexander Ananenkov and Viktor Ishaev, Governor of the Khabarovsk Krai. The parties envisaged the progress of the Agreement on cooperation between Gazprom and the Khabarovsk Krai, the Agreement of gasification as well as issues on further cooperation development.

A five year Agreement on cooperation between Gazprom and the Khabarovsk Krai Administration was signed in April 2002. The Agreement defines the following cooperation directions:

• Gasification for the regions, rural area;
• Preparation and development of Field Exploration and Development Draft Programs;
• Important issues in the financial, investment, and taxation sector for efficient business of fuel and energy sector;
• Utilization capacities development for CNG and LNG as motor fuel.

In January 2006 Gazprom and the Khabarovsk Krai Administration signed the Agreement of the regional gasification.

The Khabarovsk Krai is gasified by LNG and natural gas by 72 per cent in cities & towns and 69 per cent in rural area. The natural gas gasification level makes up 11.5 per cent.

At present Gazprom does not supply gas to Khabarovsk consumers.

The far Eastern Shipbuilding Plant Zvezda is one of the military-industrial enterprises in the Primorsky Krai. Zavod specializes on fulfilling state defense orders and civil shipbuilding development.
