Today at Gazprom’s Headquarters Alexey Miller, Ghairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee and Sergey Darkin, Governor of the Primorsky Area have entered into a five-year Cooperation Agreement.
In accordance with the Agreement, the parties confirm mutual interest in promoting the following joint businesses:
- implementing hydrocarbon field localization, exploration and development projects in the Area;
- implementing gas pipeline, processing & supply infrastructure construction projects;
- developing transmission facilities for cargo reception, transfer & storage and gas & derivatives transportation by sea;
- using pressurized and liquefied natural gas as motor fuel.
The authorities of the Primorsky Area will assist the Gazprom Group in obtaining land for production & welfare infrastructure building sites, officially registering land leaseholds and performing inventory and registration of title to immovable property.
On its part Gazprom is intent on awarding the Primorsky Area-based building companies with competitive contracts for the projects to be implemented in the Area.
Gazprom and the Area will jointly step up measures aimed at improving the regional energy balance.
Prior to signing the Agreement, the parties pondered on issues in relation to the prospects for deeper cooperation between Gazprom and the Area, placing a focus on potential collaboration in the gas chemicals and oil refining sectors.
