Today the Gazprom Headquarters has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Vyacheslav Shtyrov, President of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
The parties discussed wide range of issues for long-term cooperation of Gazprom and Yakutia at large production, processing and gas chemical center development in the framework of the Eastern Program.

The Agreement on cooperation between the Sakha Republic and Gazprom was signed in March 2001. At present the new Agreement is in progress.
Gas penetration with natural gas and LNG in the Sakha Republic is at 27.5 per cent including 18.5 per cent for natural gas. Gazprom does not supply gas to the Republic and does not have any subsidaries in the Republic.
The unified production, transmission, gas supply system development program in Eastern Siberia and the Far East (taking into consideration possible gas export to China and other Asia Pacific countries) stipulates construction of large production, gas processing and gas chemical centers in the Irkutsk Oblast, Krasnoyarsk Kray, Sakhalin Oblast, Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
