The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Yury Boiko, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister.

The parties discussed ongoing preparation works for the upcoming autumn/winter period. In particular, a focus was placed on Gazprom's uninterrupted gas transit to Europe by Naftogaz Ukrainy. Accordingly, the meeting participants reviewed the progress with gas injection into Ukraine's UGS  facilities by Naftogaz Ukrainy.

Background

In June 2012 Gazprom provided Naftogaz Ukrainy with the advance payment of USD 2 billion for gas transit, thus providing the Ukrainian party with funds for the purchase of gas to be injected into the UGS facilities.
