The Annual Global Energy International Prize Awarding Ceremony held yesterday traditionally gathered top executives of the world’s largest energy companies.
In the course of the Ceremony, Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman met Pierre Gadonneix, CEO of Gaz de France, Jeroen van der Veer, Chairman of the Committee of Managing Directors of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group, Piero Gnudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Enel Group, Reinier Zwitserloot, Chairman of the Executive Board of Wintershall AG and Yuri Boiko, Chairman of the Board of Neftegaz of Ukraine.

The Global Energy International Prize was established with the support of the 3 leading Russian energy corporations Gazprom, Unified Energy System of Russia and Yukos.
The Global Energy International Prize is the world's first award in basic and applied science, annually assigned for outstanding discoveries and developments in the energy and power generation sectors. Scientists from all over the world can become the Prize laureates, irrespective of their citizenship or nationality. The Prize fund totals USD 900 thousand.
