Anatoly Sorokin put in charge of Gazprom Dobycha Shelf

Anatoly Sorokin was elected as Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Shelf.

Anatoly Sorokin was born in 1960 in the Orenburg Region. In 1983 he graduated from Kuibyshev Polytechnic Institute, majoring in Technology and Comprehensive Mechanization of Oil and Gas Developments.

From 1983 to 1993 and from 1994 to 1998 he worked with Kholmogorneft Oil and Gas Production Directorate of Noyabskneftegaz. He was in various positions from an oil and gas production technician to the Deputy Operations Head.

Between 1993 and 1994 – Chief Engineer at the Barsukovneft Oil and Gas Production Directorate of Purneftegaz.

Anatoly Sorokin has been employed by Gazprom Group for 15 years.

From 1998 to 2011 – Lead Engineer at the Gas Production Division, Head of the Vyngaiakhinskoye Gas Production Facility, Deputy Director General for Production at Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk.

From 2011 to 2013 – First Deputy Director General – Chief Engineer at Severneftegazprom .

Anatoly Sorokin is a successor of Alexander Mandel, former Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Shelf, who continues to lead Gazprom Neft Shelf (formerly combined these posts).

Background

Gazprom Dobycha Shelf is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The company is focused on offshore gas and gas condensate developments. Currently, Gazprom Dobycha Shelf is pre-developing the Kirinskoye gas and condensate field as part of the Sakhalin III project.
